How does Buddy Bank testing work on RT1 Pilot?

Buddy Bank testing on RT1 Pilot uses the payment rail test environment and XMLdation’s addressable test BIC.

For RT1 Pilot testing, XMLdation’s Virtual Buddy Bank is reachable in the RT1 Pilot test environment using an addressable test BIC.

The customer bank provides the BIC it uses in the RT1 Pilot environment. XMLdation can then exchange test payments with the customer bank in the rail test environment.

Basic flow

  • The bank requests access and shares the relevant test BIC
  • XMLdation confirms the test setup
  • The bank sends test messages to the Virtual Buddy Bank
  • The Virtual Buddy Bank returns expected responses
  • Testers review message status and history in Simo Rail
