Payments International 2016 – experiencing the event
XMLdation attended the Payments International event in London on 16-18 November. Payments International is an exceptional meeting place for payments innovators, banks, treasurers and retailers. Every year it gathers together senior lever speakers and professionals from all around the world.
This year the event had a very broad agenda (see here) covering also sorts of topics:
- Instant payments
The list goes on. There was a sense among the attendees that the industry is simply overwhelmed by everything that is going on. An event like this is an opportunity to step back and think for a few days.
One interesting contribution was from Jason Woodruff, the Ethical Hacker, on the topic of cyber security, reminding us once again that developers with the time, knowledge, motivation and a bit of persistence find it easy to uncover security holes.
